AI SEO for B2B SaaS Companies
Get named when a buyer asks an AI which tool to buy.
Your buyer types a category question into ChatGPT before they open a comparison tab. Three products come back with reasons attached. If yours is not one of them, you never find out you were in the running.
You get the list of buying questions we run, and the number we move. Run the list yourself any time and check us.

Book your AI visibility callWhat AI SEO for B2B SaaS actually means
AI SEO for B2B SaaS, also called generative engine optimization or GEO, is the work of getting your product named when a buyer asks an AI which tool to use.
Throughout this page, you means your product and the company selling it. Buyer means the person running the evaluation, usually before anybody has spoken to sales.
The systems that decide it are ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude.
A model does not trial your product. It reads pages that already compare it, then repeats what those pages say. So the work splits in two: what your own site says about you, and what other people's pages say about you.
Your brand question and your category question are not the same question
Most SaaS companies that check their AI visibility check it by typing their own name. The answer comes back accurate and flattering and they stop there.
That is the easy question. A model that has read your site can describe your product. The hard question is the one a buyer actually asks, which does not contain your name at all.
We published a client baseline that shows exactly this
Zakro, a factory operations platform, was cited on both prompts that used its name and on none of the eight that described the problem instead. Known by name, invisible by category. Every number in that case study is dated and reproducible.
That is the gap this work closes. Not "are we in AI", but "are we in the answer to the question a first-time buyer types".
And the pages that decide it are mostly not yours
We classified 490 cited URLs from ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews across 40 buying-intent prompts in eight B2B SaaS categories. Comparison pages took 56.7% of citations on head-to-head questions. Pricing pages took 53.4% on cost questions. Listicles took 30.0% on category questions.
Citation share tracks what the buyer asked, not which format is better. The raw JSON, the classified CSV and the classifier script are published with the study.
And the questions do not hold still
A competitor launches a feature and a family of questions changes with it. A review site reshuffles its category page and the names in the answer reshuffle too. A model updates and the sources it prefers move.
So there is no finished list. Any agency that hands you a fixed set of prompts and calls the job done has mistaken a snapshot for the work.
What that means for how we work
We build your question set from the comparisons, alternatives and category questions your buyers actually type, run it repeatedly across four engines against named competitors, and keep adding to it as your category changes.
You see the whole set, always. You can run any of it yourself, any time.
What we do
Do you want to know where you actually stand right now?
Sourced Prompt Discovery
You check on Monday and you look fine. You check on Thursday and you are gone. So which one was true?
Neither. One check tells you nothing, because the answer moves every time you ask.
So we do not check once. We build your question set from the questions that decide software deals. Best tool for a use case. Alternatives to the incumbent. What it costs. Which one for a team your buyer's size. Then we ask them over and over, in fresh chats, across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude.
You get a score, not a screenshot. Asked ten times, a competitor was named nine times and you were named once. That is a number you can go and check yourself.
What you end up with: your starting position. Every question that matters, and where you stand on each one. Named, mentioned, or missing, and who got named instead of you.
Why do they keep getting named and you do not?
Citation Gap Analysis
Every time we ask a question, we save every page the AI used to build its answer.
Then we count them. Which pages keep deciding the answer in your category? For software it is usually comparison pages, alternatives pages, review platforms and a handful of listicles. We name the exact pages deciding the answers you want.
Then we open the pages that beat you and read them next to yours. Not "improve your content". The actual difference. They published a number and you wrote contact us. They put a real person's name on it and you signed it from the team. They are listed somewhere you are not listed.
What you end up with: your gaps. The pages that decide your category, and for every question you are losing, the exact reason the winner beats you.
The pages that decide this are not yours. So how do you get on them?
Source Engineering
A few of these questions get answered from your own site. Most do not. They get answered from comparison sites, review platforms and roundups, and you cannot edit those.
So we split the list in two. This part goes on your site. That part has to go somewhere else.
Then we write it so a model can repeat it as a recommendation instead of reading it as information. Say a thing about yourself and a model repeats it as a claim. Get the same thing said on someone else's page and a model repeats it as a recommendation. That gap is most of the job.
Then we place it and ask the same questions again. Did the new page show up? Did your name come with it? A page that gets used without your name is not finished, so we move it.
What you end up with: your placements. The pages you are on now that you were not on before, each one tied to the question it was meant to win.
What we do not do
Most agencies selling this to software companies sell it as one line on a growth retainer. Content, SEO, link building, lifecycle email, paid, and AI search somewhere near the bottom.
We sell one thing. GEO and AEO, and the citation tracking underneath it.
We do not run your SEO. We do not build links. We do not write your blog on a content calendar. We do not run paid. We do not report on closed revenue, because AI answers do not pass a referrer and any agency claiming that attribution is guessing.
If you want the whole growth stack from one vendor, Skale and iPullRank both do that well and we have written honestly about both.
Hire us when you already have someone doing the rest and nobody doing this one.
Where B2B SaaS stands on AI search right now
This is the most contested of the markets we work in. More agencies sell AI search work to software companies than to any other industry, and the good ones are genuinely good.
It is also the market with the most published evidence, which cuts in your favour. We know more about which pages get cited for software buying questions than for any other category, because we ran the study ourselves and published the data.
We read 524 verified client reviews on Clutch, every one a real engagement with a disclosed budget. Only 61 of them describe AI search work at all. Two contain a number. The category talks more than it proves.
We would rather hand you the count and let you decide.
Who this is for
Funded, past the earliest stage, usually martech or salestech, with a category buyers already ask about and competitors who are already getting mentioned in the answer.
If you have paying customers and competitors your buyers compare you against, you are ready. If you are pre-revenue, you are not. The pre-check will say so and we will decline.
If you are not a software company, the work is the same and the pages that decide it are different. We publish a page for each market we work in.

AI SEO for B2B SaaS: questions we get asked
We already rank well on Google. Why is this different?
Ranking and being cited are different outcomes. Plenty of companies rank first and never appear in AI answers, because the models draw from comparison sources rather than your position on a results page. Ahrefs measured the share of AI Overview citations coming from Google top-10 pages falling from 76% to 38% between July 2025 and March 2026. The baseline scan shows where you stand on both.
We checked ChatGPT and it described us accurately. Are we fine?
That is the brand question, and a model that has read your site will usually get it right. The question that decides deals does not contain your name. We publish a client baseline where exactly this happened: cited on both prompts that used the product name, invisible on all eight that described the problem instead.
Should we just build more comparison pages?
Comparison pages took 56.7% of citations on head-to-head questions in our own 490-URL study, so they matter. But citation share tracks what the buyer asked, not which format wins in general. Pricing pages took 53.4% on cost questions and listicles took 30.0% on category questions, and most listicles are not yours to write. Which format to build depends on which questions you are losing.
Do you need access to our product?
No. We need ten sales call recordings, your competitor set, and content approvals inside five business days. About two hours a month from your side.
How is this measured?
Share of Answer. The percentage of your buyers' questions where an AI names your company, run weekly across four engines against named competitors. You get the full question list at onboarding and every reported number traces back to it.
Can you guarantee we appear in ChatGPT?
No. Nobody controls a model output, and anyone promising a slot is selling something they cannot deliver. We guarantee the measurement, the work, and the day-90 term above.
Do you work with our competitors?
No. One client per competitive set. If your slot is taken we will tell you and decline.
